NAME
Strings -- Find printable strings in a binary file (v38.2.1)
SYNOPSIS
Strings -i=From,-o=To,-n=MinSize/K/N,-8=8bit/S,-?=About/S
Strings [[-i] inFile] [[-o] outFile] [-n minSize] [-8] [-?]
OPTIONS
-i Read from inFile rather than StdIn
-o Write to outFile rather than StdOut
-n Smallest string to print (default 6)
-8 Use default locale (default 7bit=US-ASCII)
-? About `Strings'...
DESCRIPTION
The Strings command looks for ASCII strings in a binary file.
A string is any sequence of 6 or more printing characters ending
with a LINEFEED (ASCII 10) or a NULL byte.
REQUIREMENTS
dos.library v37+
locale.library v38+
NOTES
The algorithm for identifying strings is extremely primitive.
